Heart Easter Treat Holders

DSCF3624 (800x674)

How cute are these wee treat holders!  These fancy folded free standing heart cards came from the Martha Stewart Website so take a look here for instructions. The back two I did some retired paper and stamps but the full heart I embossed using the heart border from the new Embossing folders.

This is one I did from the Attic Boutique Paper from the new Autumn Winter mini Catalogue. Remember you can see a copy online by clicking the link in the right hand side. I have used a Full Heart punched heart to hold the front closed with the fat little bunnies in it. The Sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, I love that set as it covers sooooo many occasions.  I also added a wee bit of snail to the join in the inside back  of the stand to make it stand better. Here is a side view so you can see how it stand up and how it looks from the back. Yup I added another bunny on the back cos you can never have enough chocolate can you!

Lucy Lolly Legs

Im loving these lolly leg creations. To those who asked about the bags I got them from a fellow demo who got them in from overseas. I havent yet found a supplier in New Zealand but I am looking!!

Here is Lucy my newest Lolly Legs.

She was my first one just so I could see how it worked. As you can see it worked pretty well! To give you an idea of size her skirt is made using the 2 1/2″ circle.

There are only a few more days left of the October Hostess Promotion so if you can organize some friends for a workshop this week give me a ring and we can book a time.

Big Shot, Gift, Punch Art, Sweet treat ideas

Gotta share…….

BIG BIRD in all his glory! My daughter has a friend helping her build a bird house and she wanted to give him a little something relating to birds. I have been working on some of these lolly leg creations today for my Christmas Giftables Class on November 6th and she liked them too so I suggested a Big Bird one. Of course it had to be done NOW!! so I have just finished it for her hence the dodgy night time photos.

My lovely friend Anj had been here tonight doing some stamping and left us with some M and Ms which Zoe swiftly sorted and turned into Big Birds legs. They are stacked in some skinny acetate bags. Then through the magic of Punch Art I created his body and feet. I should have taken a photo of inside his beak cos he even has the Big Bird tongue and mouth to match. Not too shabby eh! I hope her friend enjoys Big Bird.

Dont miss out on these great products

There is only a week left to order the items still on your wishlist from the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalogue! Have you got ink refills for your retiring ink pad colours and stocked up on your favourite retiring cardstock and DSP?

On Sunday I held a Masculine cards class and I justcouldnt help using a couple of my retiring favourites.

I havent used the Sweet Treat cups for ages so it was fun creating this balloon card with them. Purple isn’t usually a colour you associate with Men but it works so well with this paper from Autumn Traditions DSP in the mini.

I used the wee tie from Occasionally to create the middle card with a colour combo of Baja Breeze, Taken with Teal (Oh how I will miss you!), Elegant Eggplant and Kiwi Kiss (just using up my last few sheets boo hoo)

The last card is a fun punch art tool bag card. Soft Suede is just the perfect colour for the worn leather-look bag. After much trial and error I managed to create these tools using the Large Oval, 1 3/4″ and 1 3/8″ Circles with the addition of some strips to for the handles. All of these cards were based on designs I was while surfing if they are your design thank you for the inspiration and please leave a comments so due credit can be given to you.

Remember most of the ribbons are retiring too so if you want any of the ones I have used better get in quick! They are the Soft Suede Spotted Grosgrain, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red striped Grosgrain.

Email me! to place your order.

Mini backpack album and sweet treat card

Yesterday I did a birthday party for the lovely Jessica and her friends. I was very impressed with how they put their projects together and their enthusiasm!

We made two projects, a mini backpack album and this cute Sweet treat card. Of course the girls were more interested in the “treats” bit once we got to that.

Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, So Saffron and Certainly Celery. patterned paper from Sweet Nothings kit

Stamps: Something Sweet

Accessories: Sweet Treat cup, Scallop oval Punch (still available from the Spring Mini), Round Tab punch and 1 3/4″ circle punch.

I found the instructions for this mini backpack album by Deena Perreault and  the girls thought it was really cool! The instructions used little magnets for the closures but that looked a bit fiddly apart from the fact  I didnt have any! Instead I used a silver brad and punched out flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch to slide the lid behind to hold it closed. Effective and cute!

Isnt that paper gorgeous?! It is from the Kaleidoscope pack in the Summer Mini Pack AND the Organic Grace hostess set goes with it so beautifully. I used that set to decorate some of the pages inside. Sometimes it’s hard to tell just what the papers will look like from the catalogues but this is one you wont be disappointed with as its even better than it looks in the book! Im definitely going to order another pack soon.

Different views of the backpack and some of the stamped pages

Cardstock: So Saffron, Tempting Turquiose

Stamp Set: Organic Grace

Accessories: Corner rounder punch(this is an write in to the IB&C $15.95), Boho Blossoms Punch, 1 1/16″ hole punch, 2 brads, ribbon for handles, Scoring tool

Hope you enjoyed looking at these. Christmas is getting closer and still so much to do. NAd just to let you know I will be away from the 27th December to 4th January so wont be available to answer emails.

Sweet Ideas

One of the fabulous things in the new Summer mini is the Sweet Treat cup! These are fab little plastic cups that can hold a multitude of different goodies both edible and not so edible. I had a play with mine over the weekend and here are some of my Sweet Ideas.

A Snowglobe Card! This idea is so cool, definitly non edible though.

Cardstock – Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Whisper White

Stamp Set – Winter post

Accessories – 1 3/4″ circle punch, Sweet treat cup, piece of acetate to back the cup, Dazzling diamonds and a little water.

A hanging ornament which uses all those little strips of leftover patterned papers. I used the flower petal from the coordinating stamp set. Another non edible one but look at it this way at least you wont put on any weight getting them!

If you would like to know how to make either of these Email me! to find out how.
Also Im offering a special deal 1 3/4″ Circle Punch that coordinates with the Sweet Treat Cups AND the Sweet Treat Cups for $42 (save $1.70) add the Something Sweet stamp set  for $50 for a total of $92 saving you a further $2.95. Offer valid till December 17th when I put thru the finals order for the year. Be in quick dont miss out!
