Christmas Matryoshkas

I loved these Matryoshkas or Russian Nesting Dolls when I was younger and my youngest loves them now. I have a set of Santa ones that inspired these projects. These are ATC sized so the biggest is around 2.5 X 3.5″ for this first one I did Santa, Mrs Santa, a Snowman and then a wee Rudolf. It is just your basic Concertina card with each “piece” smaller than the next.

Butterfly Notebook

This is a wee project I made at the local Penguins group – Penguins are the beginning group of St Johns Cadets which is a really cool programme.

I used my Kindness Matter stamp set and the Music Notes Standard Wheel but I gave the children the choice of colours and stamp sets to create with. They still had the same wee handmade notebook and card pieces to work with though. So much fun!!

The last member of this swap made a really cool wee chocolate holder which unfortunately did not survive the rigours of living at my house. If any of you girls who swapped can send me a pic of Ruth’s project that would be great.

Merry ATC

DSCF3519

In November it was my turn to set the teams ATC swap Theme, Christmas seemed the obvious theme but I suggested we give it a Kiwi twist.

My inspiration came from some Christmas lights that The Warehouse was advertising. I loved the “kiwifruit” tree and created my own using a circle punch, sponges and the flower image from Baroque Motifs. Add the star from Every Little Bit and the pot from Pennant Parade.

My Little Kiwi in his cute little stockings (from Every Little Bit) and Christmas hat. The bird shape is from the Two Step Bird repunched to “round his rear” the beak is the tail of the bird punch. Cute huh! Thought they might look good on a card like this but never got that far

Tomorrow …..the rest of the ATC swaps

Artist Trading Cards, Cards - Birthday

Birthday ATC’s

I love Artist Trading Cards! They are so much fun, you get to create a small piece of art then swap them with other folks. This time it was a team swap and the theme was “Birthday with balloons”. I must admit I was a bit challenged by this one and while pleased with my card didnt “LOVE” it

Something a little bit different

A little while ago I did an ATC swap with the theme of Marie Anotinette or French Style.

I tried a few different arrangements and designed another one just for the swap coordinator. The Malmaison roses were clip art which I printed onto Very Vanilla and then cut out.

Must look out the other others of this swap so you can see them too.

Autumn ATC’s

This swap was the Autumn theme one of the Crafter’s Anonymous 4 Seasons series. I was really pleased with my one. It used the leaf from Autumn Days and some great Autumny colours Poppy Parade, Old Olive, So Saffron, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze. Add some distressing, tags made with the Scallop Trim Border Punch and a little bit of that gorgeous lace from the last Mini Catalogue. Dont forget that is still available to order. Check out the Carryover Products on the right hand  column.

The first three are by Debbie Dawson, Antoinette Buckley and Sharon Makin

These are by Tia Routledge, Anna Wheaton and Anne Brignall

The last three are by Marija Paic, Lyn Fox and Angie Jones but I have misplaced the photo. will keep looking : )

They all look fabulous grouped together and very Autumn. Job done ladies!!

Revisit Easter with ATC’s

I have done a few ATC swaps in the last couple of months but havent shared them with you yet. I know its well past Easter now but these cards are pretty cute and I loved mine.

Mine was a Flower Pot card with a bunny instead of flowers.

These two were created by Debi Ryan and Sharna Russell

Back: Narelle Hoggard and Pam Cregeen. Front: Rhonda Fawcett and Bev Poultney and lastly Vicky Lee Muellers

It opened up to show this cute punch art bunny On the outside was a big Easter egg. It always amazes me how different all our cards turn out working in the same theme. I love getting my little envelope of happy mail when we have a swap.
