Hi folks I’m trying something different I’m holding a Facebook virtual party Event over the next few days to send SAB out with a bang. I’ve already loaded up some fun videos showcasing some of the SAB exclusives and I’m going to TRY sharing some of my own videos and tutorials too.
You can find the event here on Facebook so join in the fun. There are only 3 days left till the SaleABration goodies are all gone so don’t miss out!
Here we are with Days 11-15! I used those cute little trees from Watercolor Christmas down the bottom too. These little mini layouts (pocket Page cards) are a great way to use up those scraps that often get thrown away.
A few ways I have used them:
punched circles and other shapes
banners
strips
tags
fussy cutting ( the church in the top right corner)
Well I succeeded at creating a card for each day in December but I still have to do the 25th. I did about 5 days to each 12 X 12 pocket page and that worked quite well.
Days 1 through 5 a title card 2 journaling cards and 5 mini spreads.
Hi folks I know I have been missing in action for a long time this time but I have a note from the doctor and I’m now on the mend. I have been feeling “off” for a while, bone draggingly exhausted and generally quite rundown. I put it down to stress and ageing as many of us do when these kind of things creep up on you slowly. Then I got to feeling like my head was going to explode, my heart was pounding and I felt dizzy and sick. Time for a visit to the doctor where he said that our family history of high blood pressure had caught up with me. That explained so much! Its been a few weeks since that and medication is fixing things up nicely (the Doctor is very pleased) and I am regaining some energy and passion to get back to business. I would like to offer my huge apologies to my loyal readers and customers for my lack of content and communication but most days it was all I could do to get through the day. I can probably count on one hand how many times Ive picking up the stamps and loveliness I got from the Seasonal catalogue and used them. I have however started a new project which I will share with you tomorrow. In the meantime here is the NEWS! This is a long on so grab a cup of tea first

That’s all I wanted, Just 1 decent photo of us before my big kids started leaving the nest. After much screaming, begging and whining (most of it mine) We got to the photo session and it was achieved. Of course all that was left then was to immortalise the experience in a scrapbook page!
P.S there goes that stencil again….ooooh and do you see that gorgeous new doily sticking out on the left hand side? These are awesome as one side is white and the other Vanilla so no more trying to figure out how to make the doily creamy coloured!
Hi folks we have just had our local A&P Show here and I try to enter scrapbooking and cards each year. The theme for The Ellesmere Show this year was Women on the land and I really wanted to go with that theme for the card. I knew I had the perfect stamp from my pre SU days so I dug it out and had a play. I came up with 3 quite different cards with my farming lady. I love her fencing standard and gumboots!
Version 1: Paper pieced top, muted sponged background using the Seasonal Decorative Masks in the Holiday Catalogue, Fine Tip glue pen to add highlights on the standard end, eggs, gumboots, lips and hair, stitched edging around Lots of Labels Framelits die cuts and along the bottom of the sentiment.
Version 2: I think this one is my favourite and I will definitely use this sketch again. Paper pieced top and pants, and Fine Tip Glue to highlight the same areas
Version 3: A lot fancier with this one. The pink twice was pulled out of some black and melon mambo twine we had in a seasonal catalogue recently hence its got the cute kinks to it. All the papers used come from the Festive Birthday DSP pack and they are what I took the colourway from. I sponged the doily with Daffodil Delight ink to make it yellow ( a white one would have just disappeared into the card) My lady is completely hand coloured this time and I added some grass to ground her.
So what do you think? Which one did I enter? I got first prize with it by the way : )

And I shall leave you with a little piece of inspiration…..
For this double layout I had a heap of photos of the same theme but over a few different times so to help mesh them all together I used a colour block idea. Quite a few of the photo’s ha pink in them so I used the Love Blossoms DSP stack and its coordinating cardstock colours in various sized blocks.
I used the Sweetheart Punch and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to accent the blocks
The best bit of all and the reason people keep Scrapbooks is the story behind the photos. I had forgotten all about why my wee one had done her drawings so I looked up in her Playcentre Learning Journal and there was the story! Julie and William her invisible friends! Time passes so quickly and its so easy to forget those funny little memories. I’m so glad I had taken the time to write a wee note in her book so now.

I was so bummed out when I did my Preorder for our new Sale-A-Bration and Occasions Catalogues as the stamp set I wanted the absolute most was on backorder already!! Luckily I was dispatched soon after Christmas and was here yesterday. Wahoo! Its one of the SAB free Products called Lotus Blossom. How gorgeous is this!?
I havent used a lot of these 2 ( or in this case 3) Step Stamped flowers but it sure is made so much easier by this set being in Photopolymer. There are so many options for colours and you can do it using only one stamp pad by stamping off on to scrap paper once or twice to get lighter colours.
This card is based on one I saw made by Sara Rayner. Here is a closer look at the stamping. I used Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant for one flower and Pool Party and Lost Lagoon for the other. The embossing folder is a new one too called Spring Flowers and the twine comes in a 3 pack called Painted Blooms Cotton Twine.
Check out the new Occasions catalogue and the SAB catalogue by clicking on the links along the right side of page And just let me know if you would like to see one IRL (In Real Life)
