My adventures with stamps, scraps and paper
A lovely simple card full of Pandas! Sadly I made this card and THEN seasoned the stamp so it stamped solidly but they are still very cute. The balloons were all stamped on coloured card and then fussy cut out to be stuck over the stamped ones. The Tailored Tag Punch was given a new look by adding a strip of white across the middle with the sentiment stamped on it. Quick and Easy but oh so cute.
I was asked recently (twice actually) to make cards for ladies who had lost babies. As a Mother I can understand the pain and loss of losing a baby whether they have been in your arms for a time or just nestled in your belly. These are some of the very hardest cards to make and the hardest words to find. This card was accompanied by a remembrance candle too.
A dear wee friend of mine turned 1 recently and she absolutely needed a gorgeous birthday card from me! Of course it had to be Baby Bear and I used an Easel Fold to make it just that bit fancier and something that could sit on her drawers long after her birthday if she wanted it to.
I used Early Espresso, Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla Cardstock, some retired paper daisies and lace plus some more of the Playful Palette DSP stack. The paper and the ink I used for the lace stamp are both the new In Colour Sweet Sugarplum. The stamp sets were Baby Bear, of course, with Grateful Bunch and Timeless Textures which both made it in to the new Annual Catalogue. Yippee because I love both those sets for their versatility. Bear was stamped in Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Early Espresso.
Here is a closer look at Bear. I didn’t think to get a photo of the inside where I put the birthday sentiment…duh!
Baby Bear again and quick easy layout duplicated in different colourways. The first is using the new In colour Emerald Envy with Cucumber Crush and Very Vanilla. The paper from both card is from a funky 6X6 Paper Stack called Playful Pallette ( p 174 $21.25 #141657)
This second card uses another new In Colour called Sweet Sugarplum which I paired with Blushing Bride and again Very Vanilla plus a little Soft Suede.

This a THREE step stamping set to give a photo-realistic result to your teddy. Here’s how it goes. Use the palest of your colours for the “solid” layer or if your just using one ink pad then stamp it off gently twice to get a “third generation” pale colour. For this example I used Pool Party, Island Indigo and Night of Navy.
This one is Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry
And finally a card using Baby Bear. The colour inspiration for this bear was my own childhood bear who unfortunately met an untimely end with a herd of cows : (

Hi folks welcome to the Creative Inkers Team Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop. I love getting new Stampin’ Up! catalogues, its always exciting to see what their concept artists have come up with and there are some cracking offerings in our newest ones. One of my favourites is the Friends and Flowers stamp set.
My card was inspired by a picture my friend Julia posted on Facebook of some awesome flat cat felt Cup mats and I thought ” I can Punch Art that and use that cute animal face stamp from friends and Flowers!” And Guess What? I could!
This was my first go at using water colour paper to do a washed sky effect but it worked pretty well. Heres a close up of Puss.

If I got this stamp set for nothing other than the pea pod baby stamp that would be OK with me. Its just too cute!
I have yet to explore all the other options I have with Friends and Flowers (page 46 of the new Occasions Catalogue) but I was really pleased with these wee notecards. You can get 3 from one sheet of A4 Card which is always good, just cut at 9.5 cm (or 3 3/4″)and score at 12.5 cm.
Not the best Photo in the world but I made 3 cards, one each of Pool Party, Blushing Bride and So Saffron. I did have to break out the StampAMaJig to do the pod tip and whirlies but it was worth it!
Here is a better pic, the wee whirlies make a cute background, the cross makes a great border (I’m thinking about cross stitch patterns???) then just add circles and some paper piercing.

Here is another Latch Fold card for you. This one uses the Made with Love Set (p. 37 #138662 $53) and papers from Cherry on Top 6X6 Paper stack. A very simple design but oh so cute!
I revisited this awesome retired set, Cheerful Critters, to make this card for my nieces birthday recently. The tutorial I used for this Latch Card was from Splitcoaststampers, you can find it here.
The gorgeous birthday candles paper is from the Cherry on Top DSP Stack ( # 138443 page 144 $17.00). I water coloured all the cutesy animals with Stampin’ Write Markers which I scribbled on an acrylic block and picking up the colour with an Aquapainter. The words on the front are from Crazy about You and inside is a gorgeous one from the Cottage Greetings set.
