Hearts and Blocks

For this double layout I had a heap of photos of  the same theme but over a few different times so to help mesh them all together I used a colour block idea. Quite a few of the photo’s ha pink in them so I used the Love Blossoms DSP stack and its coordinating cardstock colours in various sized blocks.

I used the Sweetheart Punch and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to accent the blocks

The best bit of all and the reason people keep Scrapbooks is the story behind the photos. I had forgotten all about why my wee one had done her drawings so I looked up in her Playcentre Learning Journal and there was the story! Julie and William her invisible friends! Time passes so quickly and its so easy to forget those funny little memories. I’m so glad I had taken the time to write a wee note in her book so now.

She’s a doozy

After making a lot of simpler cards lately and very very few punch art ones which were my favourite ones to do a while ago I got a little bit adventurous with this one.

It has an acetate window front and a gorgeous bear eyeing up the cupcake display. The head of the bear is hand cut and the ears are the 7/8″ scallop circle with a 3/8″ circle centre. The nose is the  heart from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Then its just add pen details and sponge all the pieces with Crumb Cake Ink.

Sad Cards

I had occasion recently to have to create two sad cards when a wee man I knew passed unexpectedly. It’s so always so hard to create sympathy cards but even harder when it is for a child.

This one uses a stamp from a set from last year called Best of Brides and Babies.

I have now added a link (other on the right hand side) to the not so new Holiday Catalogue. I was very happy with the offering this year and I’ve enjoyed having a play with my Holiday Homes Set and Get Your Santa on. The camera battery is flat but I will try to take some photos tomorrow but in the meantime take a look at this quick and easy note cards I made.
