Happy 700

Wow! That is a milestone. This is my 700th post! We have had a very busy day at my house today. My eldest daughter has been to work twice, We got to see Tom Batchelor of XFactor NZ fame  as he played a wee gig for his hometown supporters (see below). And lastly we went to my nieces 5th Birthday party!

So before I show you my nieces card I have to share my daughters pics with the lovely Tom!

Ok Now the card. I have to confess I CASEd this one but  used SU products for my version. I think I might have seen it on Pinterest – addictive little place that it is .

P1020053 (542x640)

The paper is from one of last years packs, the bus is from Every Little Bit (retired last catalogue) and the apple, happy face and heart are from a long retied set called Occasionally.  I did use a a couple of current sets too though, Simply Stars – new in this catalogue – and That’s the ticket plus new colours Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe. Take a closer look at the grouping.P1020054 (477x640)

Cards - Birthday, Cards - General, Two Cards One Sketch

Two cards one sketch

Hello folks I have for you tonight another pair of cards in my series Two Cards One Sketch.

Here is the sketch I came up with which was based on another card I saw on Pinterest which of course I didnt save the creator of.

36323125b I have used mostly retiring product tonight to showcase some of those with the first card using three stamp sets, Kindness Matters (love it AND its down to $14.97 in clearmount!!!), French Foliage and Itty Bitty Bits, the papers are from Tea for Two DSP pack in the Seasonal Catalogue. Colourway is Chocolate Chip, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral and Bashful Blue with a touch of Island Indigo

P1010836 (439x640) And here comes version two using a colour that is coming back into the catalogue, Blushing Bride, with Tempting Turquoise, Pool Party and Primrose Petals which I THINK is finally growing on me! The stamps I have used are Greeting Card Kids, Itty Bitty Bits, Every Little Bit (which are ALL retiring) and  Teeny Tiny sentiments. I have of course used the Honeycomb Embossing folders to create the hexagons for this card using paper from both the Comfort Cafe and Twitterpated DSP packs which I have then sponged the edges of. I even got to use my new Oval Framelits!

            P1010834 (458x640)    P1010835 (478x640)

If you check the catalogue image for the Greeting Card Kids set you will find that the wee girl is actually pulling along a Christmas Tree, which I have replaced with a present. To do this I inked the stamp in chocolate chip ink then used a blender pen to take the ink OFF the tree part of the image. Just lift the ink with the blender pen and scribble off onto scrap paper until there is no ink left on that part. Lucky for me the present fitted perfectly on the back part of the wee sled, positioned with the help of my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig. I just drew a line up to her scarf to make the box 3 D and added some more dots. Aren’t I a clever bunny, I was impressed with myself. Both the Seam binding ribbon and the lace threaded through the tags on these cards is from the about to retire Artisan Embellishment Kits on page 10 of the Seasonal Catalogue.

It’s easy to place your orders through my Online Store HERE or just Email me!, I will be placing an order early next week and remember all of the retiring product is WHILE STOCKS LAST.

Every Little Bit Punch Art Teddy

Finally I have enough time and sanity to share some work with you all! Thank you for being patient : ) You might remember this card that I shared some weeks ago.

P1010385 (480x640)When I posted it I hadnt finished the inside of it but I have now so here is what I did…..

P1010417 (382x640)

You might recognize my pop up insert which you can find instructions for here. I used the same wee duck and teddy stamps from Every Little Bit to decorate the insert and created a wee punch art teddy based on the ELB teddy, His head isn’t quite as wide but I’m good with that.

P1010419 (558x640) Punches used: Owl Builder  #118074,  Word Window #119857,  1/2″ Circle # 119869,  1″ Circle #119868

CAS Baby

I find CAS such a challenge but Ive given it another go with the help of yet more challenges! Inkspirational and Clean and Simple.

P1010385 (480x640)Not really your traditional baby colours but I think they work Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. The stamps I used came from: Every Little Bit,My Friend, Pennant Parade and Teeny Tiny Sentiments. I just love those new style piercing templates, they make it so easy to do frames and stitching !

I havent done the inside yet but Im planning to do something with POP!

Happy Birthday Little Girl

8 years ago yesterday my first niece was born, our little Easter Bunny! She had her big birthday party last week before the school holidays so all her friends could come and this is the card my wee girl took for her.

DSCF3587 (608x800)A very funky colour combination of Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder  and  Calypso Coral. I used the Petal Card Punch and Scallop Square punch to make the main element and stamped some white pieces with images from Every Little Bit and a sentiment from Petite pairs.

DSCF3588 (800x754)

The border detail at the bottom was made with the Lace Border punch threaded with Very Vanilla Seam Binding and a little of the Calypso Coral SAB ribbon. Pretty pretty pretty! Not bad for a 20 minute card!

Box Bag Tag, Cards - Babies and Kids, Gift

Baby baby…..

No not me! far to old for that business LOL. My niece is having a baby and last week she had a baby shower so I thought I would share the card and box I made for her.

I found this really funky wee book and made a matching box for it. It had some great quotes in it and good advice too.

The stamps sets I used were All in the Family, Every Little Bit, Bring on the Cake and Something Sweet which is on special with December Frenzy.

I used the Scallop trim border and corner to create a mat for the topper and to make a nice finish around the box lid. The colours are Island Indigo, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and  Wisteria Wonder.

The end is in sight>>>>>>

I have almost made it through this week and boy its been a busy one! Only one more day before the school holidays start although I already have 2 of my kids home sick anyway. I have just a few minutes before I’m off out the door again so thought I would share a card with you all.

This is one of the cards we will be making at my Stamp A Stack this weekend and that I made with some of my other team members at a get together we had last Sunday. I think its called a snip and tuck card and it was inspired by one that the lovely Delys Cram sent me. A Whole Year

Its hard to believe that its whole year today since our first big earthquake I remember how scared we were and how strong we had to stay for the kids. Little did we know that the after shocks would still be happening or that we would have to live through another big one on February 22nd with the loss of so many. Its been a  tough year and I have escaped into my stamping more than once to keep from thinking about the next jiggle but Im still here and still proud to be a Cantabrian.

Next Sunday I will be displaying at the Health and Wellbeing Expo in Leeston at The Station on Station Street from 1 -4. Gold coin entry. This is a great opportunity to find out more about Whats available in your community including Natural and Medical Health options plus lots of groups and clubs for your relaxation time. That where I come in!

Stamping and papercrafting is a very therapeutic hobby and a great  way to relax. Anyone can create something beautiful to give or keep. Come and visit me there and create your own “Something Beautiful” with a free Make’n’take.
