Artist Trading Cards

Autumn ATC’s

This swap was the Autumn theme one of the Crafter’s Anonymous 4 Seasons series. I was really pleased with my one. It used the leaf from Autumn Days and some great Autumny colours Poppy Parade, Old Olive, So Saffron, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze. Add some distressing, tags made with the Scallop Trim Border Punch and a little bit of that gorgeous lace from the last Mini Catalogue. Dont forget that is still available to order. Check out the Carryover Products on the right hand  column.

The first three are by Debbie Dawson, Antoinette Buckley and Sharon Makin

These are by Tia Routledge, Anna Wheaton and Anne Brignall

The last three are by Marija Paic, Lyn Fox and Angie Jones but I have misplaced the photo. will keep looking : )

They all look fabulous grouped together and very Autumn. Job done ladies!!

Happy Cupcakes

Boy or girl it doesn’t matter! This inlaid embossing works for all. Both of these cards use the Create a Cupcake set but I used different embossing folders. For the top card I used the Square Lattice folder and for the girly card the Petals a Plenty folder.I did manage to use it upside down but it still looks cute. One thing I did find was that the Square Lattice folder, because of the dense patterning, does slightly “shrink” the size of the cardstock so I found it wasn’t quite as long as it was before I embossed it. Oops!! I have just ONE more Circles Inlaid Embossed card to share but its the best one I reckon and a card for an adult and a male one at that!

And inside….

Check out the Pheasant it’s done using the Marker Direct to rubber technique

I really like these colours together, Tempting Turquoise, Soft Suede, Peach Parfait and So Saffron. They really go well with these Autumn Days images. That’s the last of my Circle Inlaid Embossed cards but I have some great ATC’s to share with you in the coming days

Shame on those looters

It absolutely floors me that in this time of destruction and loss people can think only of themselves and go “shopping” in other people’s misery. How those (pardon the word but) Mongrels could even think of stealing generators from the CBD is incredible. When we are seeing so many examples of people’s selflessness and bravery its easy to forget there are people who don’t think like that. SHAME on you!

Yesterday I still held my class, it was a great chance for the ladies who came to share their experiences and just de-stress a little. It was nice to have some company and to have a little bit of “normal” I did hum and ha about whether to carry on with this workshop but in the end took Mayor Bob’s advice and just tried to carry on with life as much as possible. I haven’t got as far as photographing  the cards we made today but I have one I made for a challenge on Crafters Anonymous which is very suitable.

Kia Kaha Christchurch!
