Artist Trading Cards, Christmas

More Christmas ATC’s

The first two are from Julia Leece and Vicky-Lee Mueller

The next two Nikki Spicer and Paula Reid

And finally Sharna Russell  and Narelle Hoggard

The last member of this swap made a really cool wee chocolate holder which unfortunately did not survive the rigours of living at my house. If any of you girls who swapped can send me a pic of Ruth’s project that would be great.

Merry ATC

In November it was my turn to set the teams ATC swap Theme, Christmas seemed the obvious theme but I suggested we give it a Kiwi twist.

My inspiration came from some Christmas lights that The Warehouse was advertising. I loved the “kiwifruit” tree and created my own using a circle punch, sponges and the flower image from Baroque Motifs. Add the star from Every Little Bit and the pot from Pennant Parade.

My Little Kiwi in his cute little stockings (from Every Little Bit) and Christmas hat. The bird shape is from the Two Step Bird repunched to “round his rear” the beak is the tail of the bird punch. Cute huh! Thought they might look good on a card like this but never got that far

Tomorrow …..the rest of the ATC swaps

Artist Trading Cards, Cards - Birthday

Birthday ATC’s

I love Artist Trading Cards! They are so much fun, you get to create a small piece of art then swap them with other folks. This time it was a team swap and the theme was “Birthday with balloons”. I must admit I was a bit challenged by this one and while pleased with my card didnt “LOVE” it

Something a little bit different

A little while ago I did an ATC swap with the theme of Marie Anotinette or French Style.

I tried a few different arrangements and designed another one just for the swap coordinator. The Malmaison roses were clip art which I printed onto Very Vanilla and then cut out.

Must look out the other others of this swap so you can see them too.

Autumn ATC’s

This swap was the Autumn theme one of the Crafter’s Anonymous 4 Seasons series. I was really pleased with my one. It used the leaf from Autumn Days and some great Autumny colours Poppy Parade, Old Olive, So Saffron, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze. Add some distressing, tags made with the Scallop Trim Border Punch and a little bit of that gorgeous lace from the last Mini Catalogue. Dont forget that is still available to order. Check out the Carryover Products on the right hand  column.

The first three are by Debbie Dawson, Antoinette Buckley and Sharon Makin

These are by Tia Routledge, Anna Wheaton and Anne Brignall

The last three are by Marija Paic, Lyn Fox and Angie Jones but I have misplaced the photo. will keep looking : )

They all look fabulous grouped together and very Autumn. Job done ladies!!

Revisit Easter with ATC’s

I have done a few ATC swaps in the last couple of months but havent shared them with you yet. I know its well past Easter now but these cards are pretty cute and I loved mine.

Mine was a Flower Pot card with a bunny instead of flowers.

These two were created by Debi Ryan and Sharna Russell

Back: Narelle Hoggard and Pam Cregeen. Front: Rhonda Fawcett and Bev Poultney and lastly Vicky Lee Muellers

It opened up to show this cute punch art bunny On the outside was a big Easter egg. It always amazes me how different all our cards turn out working in the same theme. I love getting my little envelope of happy mail when we have a swap.

Mini Flower Pot ATC

I made this for the hostess of our latest Creative Inkers ATC swap. Hopefully she has received it by now so this wont ruin the surprise.

And inside the Flower Pot…

How cute is this AND it’s only the size of an ATC so 2.5 X3.5″ big. Do you see the tiny narrow “ribbon” It’s really a cardstock strip that I faux sueded. It’s so easy just  screw it up lots (carefully!!!!)  to break up the fibres in the paper flatten it out again  and then separate the two layers.

I made the Mini Word Window using the Scallop Border Punch and the tiny pearls just finished the flowers beautifully. And guess what? I used the Markers Direct to Rubber technique again and Silhouette Sentiments. The flowers were made using the Boho Blossoms Punch and the small flower from the Itty Bitty punch Set which is another of the carryover items from the summer Mini catalogue. Don’t forget to check out the Carryover list from the link in the right hand column.

Summer is past

But not when I look at these ATC’s! At Crafters Anonymous I am taking part in a 4 seasons ATC swap and my Summer ones have just arrived back recently. Here is my one.

I smooched the heck out of these babies, the photo doesn’t show the full effect of the golden sparkle but it really has a warm golden summery feel to it I think. The flowers and butterfly images are from the Every Moment stamp set and I water coloured them using my Aqua painter and ink pads.

Black and White Silhouettes

This was the theme for our March ATC Swap for those Creative Inkers who are into Artist Trading Cards as well. I actually found it a bit of a challenge as  I don’t do much Black and White. Luckily for me Stampin’ Up! realizes my limitations and provided a set just made for this theme! Silhouette Sentiments which is a Level One Hostess set so if you would like to earn this set ask me how to book your In home workshop and how to earn Hostess benefits. Really it’s not that hard and it’s really FUN too! Anyway back to the ATC’s….

I was so thrilled with the way this turned out and of course I got to use my Scallop Trim Border Punch again as well as the Scallop Trim Corner Punch which I used to make the square mat. Very clever huh! I used the paper Piercer and Mat pack to add a wee special touch in the corner of the main image. We had an amazing 10 people taking part in this swap which is a record for us.

Love – ATC’s

I know Valentines Day was a wee while ago but I never did get round to sharing these gorgeous ATC (Artist Trading Cards) with you.  This was a swap between some of my fellow team mates and they sure are a talented bunch.

As you can probably see my one above uses one of the Sale-A-Bration sets, Sweet Summer. The sentiment is from Short and Sweet and the embossing folder is Square lattice. I spritzed the white part with Silver Foil Smooch Spritz and the heart is of course from Priceless which I don’t use nearly as much as I should. The gorgeous edging was done using the Scallop Trim Border Punch. Both the Square Lattice Folder and Smooch Spritz have been placed on the Carryover Products List which means even though the mini catalogue they were in has finished they can still be ordered!!
