Artist Trading Cards, Christmas, Punch Art

Merry ATC

In November it was my turn to set the teams ATC swap Theme, Christmas seemed the obvious theme but I suggested we give it a Kiwi twist.

My inspiration came from some Christmas lights that The Warehouse was advertising. I loved the “kiwifruit” tree and created my own using a circle punch, sponges and the flower image from Baroque Motifs. Add the star from Every Little Bit and the pot from Pennant Parade.

My Little Kiwi in his cute little stockings (from Every Little Bit) and Christmas hat. The bird shape is from the Two Step Bird repunched to “round his rear” the beak is the tail of the bird punch. Cute huh! Thought they might look good on a card like this but never got that far

Tomorrow …..the rest of the ATC swaps

Cards - General, Punch Art

Over the last few months  have had the privelege of getting to know some really lovely ladies on both sides of the Tasman through being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and through a group called Swap Sisters. This has been one of the best benefits of being a demonstrator.

Sadly sooner rather than later one of these lovely ladies who has been a wonderful inspiration and also a great friend will be moving over to Australia. You know who you are, although you will already be holidaying over there by the time this gets posted. I will miss you immensely when you go for good but Im going to enjoy the heck out of the time your nice and close so we can play with our stamps together.

The lovely lady in question was teaching a punch art class this week and it was a cute Kangaroo. So what better compliment than a Kiwi.

So have a great holiday my friend and I will see you back next month. Be ready for a stamp fest and a really long gossip session!

Gift, Punch Art

Kiwi as mate!

Kia Ora I was ased if I could create a punch art kiwi for a young fellow to giv to other members of an international  group going on a trip to India. Well I grabbed that challenge by the horns and created this friendly wee chap. I didnt catch up with boy and his Mum today so give me your opinions. I think he looks like a kiwi what do you think? Any suggestions?

He is actually made in Yoyo yellow and Close To Cocoa but the night time photography has not been kind to him

You should see all the little bits of destroyed yellow cardstock all over my table. Even the man had a go at perfecting Kiwi’s beak!
