Cards - Birthday, Cards Fancy Folds

Sweet Stairstep

One more air step card but with a difference, This one is specially for another little friend of mine who is turning 5! Happy Birthday Bella!

This card was cut and made exactly the same as the Tall Tales card on Saturday just folded opposite. I have then added matted image and then matted a sweet treat cup too attach to the back step. I decorated the slide in card (so Bella can get at her wee treat) in the same way as the matted image so once Bella has taken her treat out she will still have a complete card.

Heres a bit more detail of the tag insert

Cardstock used: Rose Red, Taken With Teal, Whisper White and Green Galore

Ink Pads: Basic Black, Taken with Teal and Green Galore

Stamp Sets: My very favourite Wagon Full of Fun from the Summer Mini, Whimsical Words SAB and Vintage labels also SAB

Other: Sweet Treat cup, 1 3/4″ and 1/2″ circle   punches, my lovely White Uniball Signo Gel Pen, Curly Label Punch, Markers for cupcake wrapper and flames.

I added 4 more candles to make the magic number 5 by stamping them out on card and cutting them out.

I hope Bella will be as pleased with this as I am.

Mini backpack album and sweet treat card

Yesterday I did a birthday party for the lovely Jessica and her friends. I was very impressed with how they put their projects together and their enthusiasm!

We made two projects, a mini backpack album and this cute Sweet treat card. Of course the girls were more interested in the “treats” bit once we got to that.

Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, So Saffron and Certainly Celery. patterned paper from Sweet Nothings kit

Stamps: Something Sweet

Accessories: Sweet Treat cup, Scallop oval Punch (still available from the Spring Mini), Round Tab punch and 1 3/4″ circle punch.

I found the instructions for this mini backpack album by Deena Perreault and  the girls thought it was really cool! The instructions used little magnets for the closures but that looked a bit fiddly apart from the fact  I didnt have any! Instead I used a silver brad and punched out flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch to slide the lid behind to hold it closed. Effective and cute!

Isnt that paper gorgeous?! It is from the Kaleidoscope pack in the Summer Mini Pack AND the Organic Grace hostess set goes with it so beautifully. I used that set to decorate some of the pages inside. Sometimes it’s hard to tell just what the papers will look like from the catalogues but this is one you wont be disappointed with as its even better than it looks in the book! Im definitely going to order another pack soon.

Different views of the backpack and some of the stamped pages

Hope you enjoyed looking at these. Christmas is getting closer and still so much to do. NAd just to let you know I will be away from the 27th December to 4th January so wont be available to answer emails.

Sweet Ideas

One of the fabulous things in the new Summer mini is the Sweet Treat cup! These are fab little plastic cups that can hold a multitude of different goodies both edible and not so edible. I had a play with mine over the weekend and here are some of my Sweet Ideas.

A Snowglobe Card! This idea is so cool, definitly non edible though.

Cardstock – Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Whisper White

Stamp Set – Winter post

Accessories – 1 3/4″ circle punch, Sweet treat cup, piece of acetate to back the cup, Dazzling diamonds and a little water.

A hanging ornament which uses all those little strips of leftover patterned papers. I used the flower petal from the coordinating stamp set. Another non edible one but look at it this way at least you wont put on any weight getting them!

If you would like to know how to make either of these Email me! to find out how.
Also Im offering a special deal 1 3/4″ Circle Punch that coordinates with the Sweet Treat Cups AND the Sweet Treat Cups for $42 (save $1.70) add the Something Sweet stamp set  for $50 for a total of $92 saving you a further $2.95. Offer valid till December 17th when I put thru the finals order for the year. Be in quick dont miss out!
