Sale-A-Bration: Creative Inkers Blog Hop

SAB bannerEveryone loves a good Blog Hop! So grab a cuppa and take a wander through our Teams’ fabulous posts with great projects made using products only available as Sale-A-Bration Benefits.

At the end of the post is a complete list of the Blog Hop’s stops just in case you get lost otherwise just click your way through using the PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons.

I couldnt decide which of my new Sale-A-Bration sets to use, would it Lotus Blossom or You Brighten My Day so I used BOTH! I tried out a different style Fancy Fold too, its called a Triangle Joyfold.P1030926

The Lotus Blossom one is 5″ square finished size and uses Crumb Cake card base with Soft Sky and Blackberry Bliss Card plus papsers from the new Painted Blooms DSP. I finally jumped on the Sequin band wagon and got some Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim, not sure I like it as a border but I sure do like that you cake pop single ones off to use as bling!

All folded up – dont the stem stamps make a great frame?P1030914

Opened all the way up and finally a close up of the front stamping. Using the white craft ink on the step 1 stamp on the Crumb cake is so effective!

Now the You Brighten My Day card is 4″ Square. I based the colour combo on the SAB colours so  Hello Honey, Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay with Soft Sky,  and Early Espresso.

How cool is the background paper? I made that using markers and the Hearts and Stars Decorative Masks. Just lay the mask over the area to be covered and squiggle the marker back and forth or cross hatch in the template cut out.

Hop back to the lovely Delys or onward to clever Heather and check back next Monday the 26th at 8 pm for our team Ocassions Catalogue Blog Hop!

  1. Great projects Lisa. Nice to see a fancy fold. I like the use of the white craft ink and I was going to ask how you did the frameworks. It kinda looks like stitching. Neat idea. Might have to have ago at that. 🙂

  2. Great idea with the white craft ink, such a great effect! And love the fancy fold card too 🙂

  3. Those are awesome Lisa! I love the way you have used the stem stamp as a border too, and you have inspired me to use my You Brighten My Day stamp set (which hasn’t seen ink yet!)

  4. What a clever idea to use the stems as a border, I would never of thought of it. And to colour through the mask with markers – another clever idea.

  5. Great cards Lisa. It’s ages since I’ve made a card in this style – thanks for the reminder. I still haven’t put the Lotus Blossom set to ink!
