Come on people, admit it, way in the back of those cupboards are some old letter stencils! I had forgotten all about mine until last night when I was puzzling over what letter dies I was going to use on a layout when I had a thought. Admittedly I was getting pretty tired .. read lazy.. so I couldnt be bothered getting out my Big Shot and cutting numbers and letters so this seemed like an easy solution. In my own defence I had just made my own DSP to use! Another great budget tip – its easy and your colours always match when you stamp your own!
Here is the Project Life card I made using an old stencil and my Project Life No.5 Jornaling Pen. I love these pens and they come in two thicknesses, the No. 1 is really fine for writing and the No. 5 is chunkier but still good for journaling.
And to see the whole page. I used two stamp sets for my DIY paper, Flower Patch and Love Sparkles.
Flower Patch # 134207 Love Sparkles – W #143114 CM #143183 Photopolymer $54 Wood $61 Clear Mount $44

Recently I went to a big Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Event held in Auckland called OnStage. It was a lot of fun catching up with my team and other demonstrators from around New Zealand plus we got to see the **NEW** 2016-2017 catalogue and got to take home some of the new products too! Another benefit of these events is the swapping, you make multiples of a project and then swap them for other peoples projects and come home with heaps of different ideas! My swap was a set of Project Life Pocket Style cards.
This is what they look like in a page protector. Sadly the Word Window Punch has retired AND Sold Out but every thing else I used is still available.

Welcome to my first Project Life Pocket Pages. I found it was a bit of a side step in my brain to work with in this style but the second page was much easier. I’m definitely going to be adding more of these style of pages to my album. I love that you can get so many photos on a page and still add little touches. The photos aren’t great, I’m not sure how you are supposed to get decent photos of layouts when they are encased in plastic! If anyone knows then please do leave me a comment, I must have taken 50 photos to get these half way decent ones LOL
The papers are from a retired pack which I have heaps of so you will be seeing a lot of it in the next few pages I share. Here are some close ups of the pages
Washi tape is really useful for these pages. I used it to write info on and to keep photos in place. It looks really effective.
I enjoyed decorating the cards, each one is like a small canvas and they all go together into the bigger picture… MAGIC and fun too
