Happy Scrappy Results

Sorry I didn’t get this post up yesterday, life has this horrible way of jumping in front of me when I plan things. But here we are a day late : )

This is what I did with the 5 of the 6 pieces I showed you on Thursday. Somewhere along the line I misplaced one but I have found it now so maybe tomorrow…..

Back Row: A little Crazy Patched piece that I embossed using the Square Lattice folder (stamp from Bring on the Cake); A cool wee Patchwork square which I added pen  stitching lines to (Stamp from Best of.. Christmas) ; Lastly another Patchwork inspired pattern (stamp from Petite pairs)

Front: Striped pattern with various sized strips then paper pierced and faux stitched Zig Zag stitching in Early Espresso (Stamp from So Sorry); Bargello inspired strips placed in a chevron (Stamp from Tag It)

A little something

Today has been a lovely sunny day and I have enjoyed it a lot especially with the bad weather to come this week. I have just a couple of  little cards to show you as I have been busy creating 27 yes 27 cards for  card swap I am doing with my wider team at a team training this weekend. I am so pleased with it and all the beautiful new In Colours I used on it but you will have to wait until after the weekend to see that. In the meantime……

Baby Elephants with a little Mojo

Just a quick post today but it seems like its going to be baby card week as I know a few people who have been blessed of late.

This one  I used the Colour Q combo and Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration.

Glorious Green is one of the old retired colours but I still had a little scrap tucked away and sadly Lucky Limeade, one of the 2010-2012 In Colours, will be retiring when we get a new catalogue June 30th! So dont miss out. The ribbon is a retired one too but the stamp set Patterned Occassions is still available fro FREE with a $120 purchase until Friday 22nd when Sale-A-Bration ends. This weeks sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch  was a funky circles one

Here is my take on it

    

I used a bit of an unusual Christmas colour combo with Cajun Craze added to the more usual (Real)Red and (Gumball) Green. The stamp sets are Merry Minis from the Holiday Catalogue and Petite Pairs from the Annual Catalogue. Why not hop on over a have a go yourself!

Shadow Smiles

For this card I used only the shadow parts of Reason To Smile rather than stamping the line images over the top. I also added the splotchy image from French Foliage stamp set. The colours I used were Cherry Cobbler, Peach Parfait, Island Indigo and Pool Party for the flowers and Crumb cake for the Splotches. I cut the patterned card BEFORE I embossed it with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder otherwise you risk it tearing when you go to cut it. This was then matted on Crumb cake, Lace and Bakers Twine added  and then finally mounted onto the Cherry Cobbler card front.

Close up you can see the detail a little better Best Wishes comes from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set. I left the sentiment un-embossed to make it stand out a bit more.

Happy Birthday Little Girl

8 years ago yesterday my first niece was born, our little Easter Bunny! She had her big birthday party last week before the school holidays so all her friends could come and this is the card my wee girl took for her.

A very funky colour combination of Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder  and  Calypso Coral. I used the Petal Card Punch and Scallop Square punch to make the main element and stamped some white pieces with images from Every Little Bit and a sentiment from Petite pairs.

The border detail at the bottom was made with the Lace Border punch threaded with Very Vanilla Seam Binding and a little of the Calypso Coral SAB ribbon. Pretty pretty pretty! Not bad for a 20 minute card!

Charming Sympathy and Prayers

I apologize for this one still being in the plastic covers I use but time was of the essence by the time I took this photo! This is another card I was really pleased with. Sympathy cards are always so hard to do but this one just came together. I used a  Pool Party, Very Vanilla and Basic Black colour combo and of course the Charming Stamp Set and a paper from the Spice Cake DSP pack from the Summer Mini Catalogue.

 The sentiment is from Petite Pairs on page 105 of the main Idea Book and Catalogue. This is a really useful set and covers most occasions with a sentiment for the out side of the card and a matching “pair” for inside or to go with the first one. Take a look.

Happy Birthday to my girl

Last week saw my eldest daughter turning 15! She is my Got To Girl when I create something new so I had to make her a special card.

I got this fab new set My Friend (Page 85 of the IB & C) when I got a promotion bonus recently. The butterflies are from the Kindness Matters set (Page 71) and the frame is from the Tagtastic Hostess Set on page 11. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs on page 105 which was also part of me Promotion bonus splurge!! Add the Scallop Circle die, Elegant Lines Embossing folder, Boho Blossoms punch, Curly Label Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Rhinestones and Crystal Effects and you have all the supplies for creating this card.
