Steppin’ it up!

I threw together a few ideas for this card and I think it turned out pretty well. I love the colour way, it’s so soft and pretty – Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Hello Honey. The ribbon was from the SAB pack but it fitted quite well. The front panel is popped up on dimensionals but the flower stamped piece was adhered straight onto the card front.

The quilt like pattern down the bottom was created by lightly drawing a grid pattern then stamping the wee flower on the intersecting points. Then I used my Paper Piecing tool and templates to pierce along the lines around the flowers. I added stitching marks with my Tip Top Taupe marker. Heres a closer look at the stamped panel.

CAS Baby

I find CAS such a challenge but Ive given it another go with the help of yet more challenges! Inkspirational and Clean and Simple.

P1010385 (480x640)Not really your traditional baby colours but I think they work Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. The stamps I used came from: Every Little Bit,My Friend, Pennant Parade and Teeny Tiny Sentiments. I just love those new style piercing templates, they make it so easy to do frames and stitching !

I havent done the inside yet but Im planning to do something with POP!

I used my new Everything Eleanor stamp set and also a leaf and bird for one of the upcoming Sale-A-Bration stamp sets. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. My Paper Piercing templates and piercer are getting a real work out lately Going around the oval is a bit of a challenge but I found by moving the Christmas Ornaments template around  I was able to get a fairly good piercing line.

Sorry the photos arent up to much we had a power cut earlier tonight so had to take the photo inside when the power came back on after dark : )
