I went soft and subtle with this one. Soft Sky, Mint Macaron, and touches of Watermelon Wonder with Flash Card 2.0 pieces. I love the Hello You Thinlits and I saving up for the new Greetings ones too which are a little smaller and a different font. Even better, Ive had a sneaky preview that there are some new Christmas ones in the upcoming Holiday catalogue which will be out on September 1st! This is a really simple design I used the flower image as a background and as a design element along with the leaf image around the die cut negative. The lines were scored in with my Scoreboard, such a simple addition but one that can add a lot.
Hi folks I have some cards to share with you over the next few days and the first set I am showcasing is Build A Birthday. Funny how I have only managed to make ONE birthday cake card with it but many other designs.
The first one I have for you is kind of like book spines or washi stripes. I used a ripped piece of post it note to mask the top end of each “cake layer”. I used 3 of the new In Colours Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush and Mint Macaron with a little touch of Early Espresso.
I have to say I am loving my Hello You Thinlits and Im saving up for the smaller Greetings Thinlits.
Remember you can check out the new catalogue online HERE I will be putting in an order on Monday morning if you wish to order anything thru me or you can use this months HOSTESS CODE RPQ6GA76 and order online HERE Its easy to set up an account but if you have any problems feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org : )
After I made the card (posted yesterday for Colour Throwdown Challenge) I was left with the pieces from inside the letters and the “negative” of the word. Using a couple of sticky notes I then sponged 1 cm stripes of colour on a piece of Whisper White the same size as the “negative” card piece. I adhered the “negative” in place ( you could use dimensionals here to raise it up a bit) then stamped the Birthday sentiment on some WW, punched it out with a Word Window punch and popped it on some Dimensionals under the word. Then I matted and mounted the whole piece as shown. Cool huh! Here is a closer look at the sponged stripes.
Hi folks I loved the colours in The Colour Throwdown Challenge this week and had seen a sketch for a card I wanted to try then the planets aligned and a card was created. Here are the colours
I used So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Pumpkin Pie and Pistachio Pudding.
The sentiment and flower are from a very flexible and super useful stamp in the Occasions Catalogue called Crazy About You. It coordinates with a Thinlit die set called Hello You, both are available as a bundle which saves you 15%. Of course I wasnt bright enough to do that! But Wow those dies are so fun, I even made something with the negative from Happy. You might get to see that tomorrow if I remember to post it!
Check back after 7 tonight for a Faves Farewell Blog Hop showcasing retiring product from Stampin’ Up!
