Make’N’Take Cuties

Which one would you do? I had a  great afternoon today at the local Health and Wellbeing Expo here in Leeston. As well as a display of creative goodies I offered a Make’N’Take.  People had the option of a Christmas version or a Birthday version of these 3 X 4 inch cuties.

I love the versatility of the Pennant Parade Stamp Set, you can make Christmas Trees, ice cream cones, patchwork designs, star points even boat sails!! And of course you can’t go past the Create a Cupcake Set for a fun Birthday card.

Dont forget to book your space for my next class, you can check out my class schedule on the Classes and Events tab.

Girly cupcakes card

I loved the card I made yesterday so much I used the design again to make a card for my niece’s 3rd birthday too but of course in pink and girly colours.

I added the little cupcake from Short and Sweet and changed up the front a little. The sentiment is from Bring on the Cake. The DSP is Lap of Luxury.

Heres a close up of the pennants

The sold out list is growing so don’t wait too long.

Thats cool…..WOW thats AWESOME!!!

That was the response of my teens when I showed them, first the front and then the inside of  this card.

One of my young men at Playcentre turned 5 yesterday. Its hard to believe he is that old already and will start school on Monday. I wanted to make him a really special card and know how much he enjoys CAKE!

The front three cupcakes pop out when you open the card and I made the pennants using the “Build a cupcake”  punch which  is still available as a carryover product. You can snip two pennant pieces from each cupcake case.

Notice I used the Jolly Holidays DSP and by adding non Christmas colours it makes it useful for other occasions too.  Its 40 % off on the Last Chance List making it only $12.30!!

Cupcake box frame card

Do you remember the one of these I did at Christmas time? Well I thought it was time to give it another go!

See the brick pattern on  the walls, I used one of my acrylic blocks to stamp that on and I think it looks pretty good! I punched out the windows panes with a square punch and you can see inside the “room” to the plate of cupcakes at the front and the bowls of cherries on a table at the back of the room. Even a picture on the wall. Heres how it looks from the top.

ESAD Blog Hop

Welcome to the ESAD Autumn / Winter Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators and it is an online group just for Australian and New Zealand demonstrators for Stampin’ Up!

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors but we share our love for what we do with each other as Demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how and cyberstamps and we are always there to help and support each other when it’s needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

I got this great wee box pattern and have had a lot of fun making boxes using some of the sets in the new mini catalogue.

This one uses the Create a Cupcake Set  and is in Pacific Point cardstock. I stamped both sides of the tag with a sentiment and a message.

Heres another version using Clearly For You. It has a matching card and an alternative card too.

I have used markers direct on the stamps to stamp the berry image, the bird images and the flowers on the cupcake box tag. It’s a great technique to use if you want to add a bit more dimension to your images or to highlight sections of an image or to only use part of a word or image. Very handy!

Cards - Birthday, Cards - General

One last little boys Birthday Card

All over New Zealand and Australia today we celebrate Anzac Day and remember those who died for their countries. Lest We Forget.

Now on to todays card. I used two sets from the Autumn Winter Mini  for this card – Create a Cupcake and Bring on the cake to make Seth’s Birthday Card.

I don’t know what you would call the purple bit under the sentiment – maybe a banner?? but I made it by “faux sueding” some cardstock. First you cut the cardstock to shape then screw it up carefully and straighten it out again repeating until the cardstock “softens” and splits apart at the edges. Then just peel the two sides apart. The broken fibres of the cardstock middle resemble suede hence the name faux suede.

Happy Cupcakes

Boy or girl it doesn’t matter! This inlaid embossing works for all. Both of these cards use the Create a Cupcake set but I used different embossing folders. For the top card I used the Square Lattice folder and for the girly card the Petals a Plenty folder.I did manage to use it upside down but it still looks cute. One thing I did find was that the Square Lattice folder, because of the dense patterning, does slightly “shrink” the size of the cardstock so I found it wasn’t quite as long as it was before I embossed it. Oops!! I have just ONE more Circles Inlaid Embossed card to share but its the best one I reckon and a card for an adult and a male one at that!

And inside….

Check out the Pheasant it’s done using the Marker Direct to rubber technique

I really like these colours together, Tempting Turquoise, Soft Suede, Peach Parfait and So Saffron. They really go well with these Autumn Days images. That’s the last of my Circle Inlaid Embossed cards but I have some great ATC’s to share with you in the coming days
