Steppin’ it up!

I threw together a few ideas for this card and I think it turned out pretty well. I love the colour way, it’s so soft and pretty – Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Hello Honey. The ribbon was from the SAB pack but it fitted quite well. The front panel is popped up on dimensionals but the flower stamped piece was adhered straight onto the card front.

The quilt like pattern down the bottom was created by lightly drawing a grid pattern then stamping the wee flower on the intersecting points. Then I used my Paper Piecing tool and templates to pierce along the lines around the flowers. I added stitching marks with my Tip Top Taupe marker. Heres a closer look at the stamped panel.

Flowerpots and Fun Days

Just a quick reminder about tomorrows Fun Day. BYO stamps and projects, a plate for lunch and $5 for hall hire. Try out my Big Shot and I will do a couple of demonstrations during the day too.

I have been making a special order up this week. The lovely Nicky wanted some flowerpot cards. Take a look

Dont you love the flowers in Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder! I used some vellum paper to layer over the Butterflies to add a special touch. To punch this paper I put a sheet of computer paper with it otherwise the vellum jammed and ripped : (

The stamp set I’ve used is Cottage Garden. Here is the tag which slides inside the pot.

Scrapbooking

One word

and that would be SICK! I have  had a horrible dose of the Flu – knew I should have got a Flu shot in the holidays – and today is the  first day Ive felt even vaguely human. Anyway I will share a page I did last week that i was particularly pleased with.

The colours are fabulous Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze on Whisper White. The flowers I used are from the Cottage Garden Stamp Set and two of the sets from the last mini catalogue which I hope will return in the new catalogue when it is released in September.

The wee alphabet block is from the Level 2 Hostess set Cute by the Inch. i used  1 3/8″ circle punch to make a template to sponge the Baja Breeze dots on the Whisper White page and the White dots on the Baja Breeze circle in the middle

Right time for a granny nap now

Easter Swap Goodies Three.

Ok really its just the card I sent to Sharon and I thought you had enough to look at yesterday so saved it for today!

Another Punch Art Chicken which I used the owl punch to make and the Bunny using lots of Ovals and circles with the addition of  the leaf die from Birds and Blooms Sizzlits to make bunnies ears.

Something quite different and I guess you will either love it or hate it!

Pussy in the Cottage Garden

My little niece turned Two last week and when I asked her Mum what she thought our wee one might like she replied as long as it had cats or flowers on it,  it would be fine.

Ok then Cats or Flowers Hmmmmmm

Alright I admit it I want to be her favourite Auntie so Cats AND Flowers!

This cat looks very much like my nieces cat Holly I used Sahara Sand Card and then splotch sponged with Creamy Caramel and added stripes with a stencil created by taking a V-shaped snip out of some paper. The white details and stripes I added with my trusty White Gel pen.

Punches I used to make the cat were:

Body and Head – Wide Oval

Ears – tall heart and small heart from Heart to Heart

Nose – 1/2″ circle cut into 1/4’s

Muzzle – 3/4″ Circle

Collar – Trimmed, double punched piece from Large Oval

Eyes – just and ordinary hole punch

For the background I used the swirl, butterfly, 3 flower  and solid flower from Cottage Garden and the leaf from Vintage Vogue. Ink colours are Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant, Pretty in Pink and my very favourite but unfortunately retiring Taken with Teal. Good-bye my friend I will miss you BUT I can still use you all I like for 19 more days.

And yes I have to admit I just bought Loads of Love. This month the list is a little skewed due to the Two Step stamping 20% off sale but even with that Vintage Vogue hung in there.

This is a Thank U card I made recently and its a BIG one (folded A4) I used the cottage Garden set to create a background for my birdies.

I was lucky enough to borrow the Cottage Garden set and here’s a card I made with it.

This is a design I adapted from one that the lovely Sheri taught on Swap Sisters last Sunday. It’s  something a little different and uses my new ink pad in Elegant Eggplant, the swirl from Baroque Motifs and of course the TopNote die. I popped up the flowers with Dimensionals which are fabulously useful little things. Email me! if you would like to order any of these sets and secure your 2 Step Stamping class spot for only $5.
