Cards - General

Clean and Simple Cottage Greetings

Another clean and simple card which could easily be adapted to any occasion. I did have to lengthen the flower stem a little using my Early Espresso marker to make the size of the card piece work. I added some piercing down the line of the circles of card which were stamped with wee flowers.

Cards - General, Challenges

One layer simplicity

As usual I was inspired by a challenge blog and this one is new One-Layer Simplicity Challenge now I don’t do a lot of one layer cards so this is a good challenge for me and I think I cracked it!

I even got a bit adventuress with my supplies – I made the stamps! Yes that’s right made them. I used some of the Rubber sheet that our stamps are die cut out of to create my larger circle stamps and a couple of cotton buds for the dots. The colours are Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Smoky Slate and Crisp Cantaloupe. I made a lot of these cards which are so quick and easy but very effective and will be mailing them out to some lucky folks soon.

Not long now till the next supplementary catalogue and Sale-A-Bration start watch out for a sneak peek tomorrow

Challenges, Christmas, Two Cards One Sketch

C’s n A’s n S’s with an E thrown in for good luck!

Did that confuse you? I just found this new Sketch Challenge Blog site which will be a challenge for me in more than one way!   Over the years I have picked up some of that special lingo used by papercrafters including CAS  and CASE.  Yes they are two different things  CAS stands for Clean and Simple and CASE stands for Copy AND Share Everything! These girls have combined both things into one challenge its called CAS(E) this Sketch!

Now according to this new challenge site the Definition of the CAS  style looks something like this:

1. Usually only one layer but can include a simple layer or two.2. A lot of open space sometimes called “white space” can include color, texture or pattern.

3. Usually no embellishments but can include something minimal.

4. Minimal color palette.

5. Quick and easy to create.

This is the week two sketch
So here is my first foray into the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge.
And just because I can I tried it in a different colourway and orientation.
Do go and check out this cool new challenge and have a go even if you dont enter it.

R2S overlap (800x538)

This is a great idea for any of your line image stamps. I just used Basic Black Ink and stamped all over the card front overlapping some of the images. Then picked some complementary Stampin’ Write Markers and coloured in the overlapping sections. Of course I had to add some bling too around the sentiment which although you cant really see it is popped up on Dimensionals. Clean and simple!
