Happiest of Days Gift Set

A certain someone I know has a birthday coming up and I made this card and, yes,  its THAT box again for her. I have a lovely wee piece of jewellery to go in it. Dont you love the curly ribbon on the paper clip! I just used the back edge of my scissors and pulled the ribbon through against them and my thumb. Just like making paper curls. This method works for bakers twine too.

I don’t usually do pretty insides of my cards but the left over piece from the card front just screamed to be added.

Basketweave Fun

The second release of SaleABration rewards have been released and I am in love with the Basket weave Folder that is part of the Blooming Basket Bundle (level 2 reward $220 Spend)

I have done 2 little projects with it so far, the first of which is using my wee box design that I made with our extravaganza guests last weekend.

Saturday’s Project

What a great day we had on Saturday at our first Christchurch Extravaganza! We had 5 awesome teachers including myself and 1 super organised “manager” for the day to support us all. It was very busy and lots of fun meeting new people and reconnecting with the familiar.

My project was a reasonably quick and simple one which once everything was cut and scored I could stamp and put together in 5 minutes! The speed of this means its also quite versatile and great for those moments when you need a card in a hurry or a wee gift box. The other thing I liked about it was that the box is super easy to score and has very little waste. You can get 2 boxes from one piece of A4 card.

The light was rather strong when I took the photo so it may be a bit hard to see the powder pink stamping of the large lacy image behind the flower bunch on the card and all over the box.

I  used the Southern Serenade Stamp Set From the Occasions catalogue (Page 49) available in  wood #145918 $61; or  Clear #145921 $44. The card is one of the Note Card and Envelopes on  p.195 (Whisper White #131527 $12.75),  and what you cant see is I trimmed 1 cm off the long front edge then stamped the lace trim image along the inside long edge using Lemon Lime Twist. So Pretty.  I used A4 Thick Whisper White Cardstock  (p.194 #140490 $15) ,this cardstock makes your box a bit more sturdy.

Check out tomorrows post when I show you another version of this card

Kidsfest Stationery Case

Kidsfest happens every July School holidays here in Canterbury It is sponsored largely by  TV2, The Press, MORE FM, Canterbury Community Trust, Singapore Airlines and co-ordinated by the Christchurch City Council on behalf of the KidsFest Charitable Trust  You can find the Kidsfest page here I have run Kidsfest classes for the last three years and as I said yesterday have already run one in Leeston and one in Darfield leaving only next Wednesdays class in Rolleston which still has a few spaces left if you are interested.

Here is the project we are doing. This one is my daughters one and being left handed she customized it so it would open HER way!

P1020006 (492x640)

And inside there is a pad, pen, 2 book markers, calendar and 2 note cards in their wee pockets. I do love that Every little Bit Stamp set and I cant part with it even if it has retired. Its fabulous for doing kids classes!!! I got lucky with those calendars as I found a printable one that ran from July 2013 – Sept 2014  and like the pad they can be taken out and replaced when they are used up. These make great wee travel kits as I found out on the way home from class with my daughter and niece who both had their cases open on their knees scribbling away. You could even add a pack of coloured pencils  and a puzzle book or bigger drawing padP1020007 (640x513)

Happy Cup

I was lucky enough to be able to borrow the Take A Sip Stampin’ Wheel recently and this is one of the projects I made with it. The same one as yesterday but with a different theme. A Happy theme – fancy coffee and choccie finger biscuits Yumm!

The colour way is Crumb Cake Chocolate Chip and Daffodil Delight. Its amazing how a little detailing with the Stampin’ Write Markers can lift a project.

If you are interested in the pattern for this wee box let me know and I will try doing a tutorial for it. I will also be demonstrating this project at my Stampin’ Fun Day Next Sunday the 17th so book yourself a spot now.

Feel Better Cup

Think I might have jinxed myself with this project. I made it before I got real sick thinking I just had a wee cold. I had to take the photo quick before I needed to use the last Lemsip Pack so its not a flash one.

I decorated the cup box using the Bright Blossoms stamp set and some of the fabulous 3/8″ pleated satin ribbon (page 12 of the autumn Winter Mini)

Better Photos tomorrow of the other version of this cup holder I made.
