Box Bag Tag, Cards - Babies and Kids, Gift

Baby baby…..

No not me! far to old for that business LOL. My niece is having a baby and last week she had a baby shower so I thought I would share the card and box I made for her.

I found this really funky wee book and made a matching box for it. It had some great quotes in it and good advice too.

The stamps sets I used were All in the Family, Every Little Bit, Bring on the Cake and Something Sweet which is on special with December Frenzy.

I used the Scallop trim border and corner to create a mat for the topper and to make a nice finish around the box lid. The colours are Island Indigo, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and  Wisteria Wonder.

Circles, Circles, Everywhere

I have been going to have a go at this inlaid embossing technique for a while but now Ive kind of overdosed on Circles at least, might have to try something else but I sure do love the technique!

Today is my nieces birthday, Happy Birthday Chantelle! Lucky for her this technique is great for kids cards so you can guess what she got.

Heres what it looks like inside

I used the little girl from All in the Family and added the ballet dress from the accessories set. The sentiment and heart are from the newly released Create a Cupcake. Its a bit hard to see from the photo but the girl is seen through a hole in the front of the card. Sorry could have explained that better except my brain is fried tonight!?! Now as I said I have overdosed on this technique so guess what Im sharing for the next few days……..no go on GUESS!

Remember that Sneak Peek…..

well here is the whole layout it is based on the same sketch I used for my May 20th post.

Cottage Wall DSP + Rich Razzleberry + Kiwi Kiss + Baroque motifs’ large Swirl and All in the Family’s little cat + Round Tab Punch + Top Note die = A Seriously Cute Layout especially with the added touches of Dazzling Diamonds, Rich Razzleberry ribbon and a wee bit of sponging too.

Girly Girl Pink

Well its Thursday so last night was my ATC class at Swap Sisters. The theme this week was “Pink and White Baby” which of course screams GIRL!

I pulled out lots of stamp sets to get some fun Baby images. Can you pick all 4?

Of course if you dont collect ATC (Artist Trading Cards) then you can use it as a panel on a card. Heres the one I did

Ok just to put you out of your misery the stamp sets are:

Rattle – Occassionally

Baby – All in the family

Nappy pin – Short and Sweet

Sentiment – the retired Something Sweet

Check in tomorrow for some big news

Up in the Air with ATC Thursday

Last nights theme in the ATC Challenge on Swap Sisters was Balloons or Air. Crikey! It also had to have the colour red, a 3 D item, fibres and a word. I thought HMMMM and went for a rummage through my office before inspiration struck

Inspiration came in the form of Umbrellas -I was thinking Mary Poppins- but then what word could I put with that? Next thought was add strings instead of a handle ( hmm adding fibres, good plan! – well cotton is a fibre isnt it? ) and the Parachuting Lady was born.

Yes dont look too hard I have sewn the strings to her hands, she is a very strong this girl! Ticking the boxes I added  plenty of red, popped the roofs up with Dimensionals (3D) and used a word from Live Like You Mean It a Level 1 Hostess set. The stamp set inspired me to then make a second ATC which I could use as a panel on a card. Oh dear, my poor lady looks like she got sunburned on the way down.

Now dont forget about:

FANCY FOLDS class on Sunday Book Now!

Hi ladies Im back again. Here are some cards that have shaped aspects to them. The first is a trifold done in the Priceless set, Chocolate Chip and Apricot Appeal inks, Very Vanilla cardstock and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
Priceless trifold
This one I saw in a magazine and I just had to convert it to Stampin’ Up! with the All in the Family Set and Priceless for the quilt.

Can you imagine a kiddies face when they open the card to see this

I really love the layout of this card it is fun and reasonably easy to complete. The little people are so cute and fitted in the bed perfectly.
Im off for an early night Miss 12 and I are going window shopping tomorrow while Miss 4 is at Kindy.

Focus on Friday!

I had such plans for the day! My little one is on antibiotics and has been very under the weather so has needed lots of TLC which means I didnt get to my projects till about an hour ago. Today I was going to introduce Focus on Friday where I will introduce one stamp set, technique or tool from the Stampin’ Up! range. As you may have gathered its going to be Focus on Staurday this week unless I can get it done and up later tonight. In the mean time heres another “Sweet Nothings” Layout bringing the total to 3.
Ive done a boys one (Which Im going to post in the Scrappin Patch Man Friday Challenge too) just to show you that the pack is versatile enough to use for more masculine pages too. Thanks for checking in and bear with me I’m off to get “Focused on Friday”.
