Birthday Windmill Card

Ive been wanting to try a windmill on a card for ages and Ive finally done it. I had an idea about using the Scallop Square die but wasnt happy with the result then Miss 15 ” Mum that looks stupid! I can make an origami one” so she taught me how to do it. Nice.

I based this card on one I had seen out there in cyber space but made a few changes to make it my own. I used some retired, stamps, paper and ribbon plus the NEW Framelits dies and Adorning Accents Embossing Borders, Embosslits button die and Peach Parfait Ribbon.

The other tool I used was my favourite new tool, The Simply Scored Tool, to make the pleated ruffle along the bottom of the card. I used a skewer for the windmill stick and wrapped it with ribbon. Im really quite pleased with the way this came out all quite vintagey and girly at the same time!
