Theres no “I” in Team!

A couple of weekends ago I attended a  Team Training event in Auckland. For those of you who dont know, when you sign up as a Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator you generally sign up under an upline ( Hi Jacque) and you are usually part of a wider team (Hey girls). Does that make sense? I hope so but anyway I went to my first Team training. Now if you’d told me a year or so ago that I would be flying to Auckland by myself on a big old airplane to have a fun day with a whole lot of ladies Ive only ever messaged on the internet i may not have believed you. For one thing Im a bit of a home body and this would be waaaay outside my comfort zone. For another thing I dont like heights and flying is kinda high and as for by myself to a strange city where I dont really know anyone. Nah you have to be nuts!

But here I am with my first solo flight (you know with no one holding my hand), my first visit to Auckland AND my first Team Training event all experienced and enjoyed.

Huge thanks has to go to the lovely Julia and her family who picked me up from the airport and  hosted me for the weekend. Also to all the girls on my team who made me feel so welcome and part of something so awesome.

55 of us were able to attend of our team of over 140. I had such a great day meeting in real life many of these lovely ladies who have swapped ideas with me,  encouraged me, answered my endless questions (especially in the beginning) and laughed and cried  with me. My hats off to you girls I couldnt have joined a better team. Go Creative Inkers!

We had not only creative training but business training too at this event and it left me thinking about the  goals I want to set for my business. What I want now is to share what I have found in Stampin’ Up!® and start to build my own team as well.
