Sponged Spirals

Now thats a funky title huh! Here is a littel Atc I made a week or so ago with the Swap Sisters ATC boy themed online class. The requirements were it had to have a sponged shape background (more about that in a minute), use two sentiments (mine were from two different Level 1 hostess sets), have a 3 D element (I added Crystal effects to the film strip pictures).

Here is My Atc mounted on the cover of a small flip Photo Album I am making as a gift for a friend who is expecting a baby. Once Bub is born I will add his name along the top.

The background design on the Whisper White was sponged using Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery inks. First I punched out a border around 2 sides of a rectangle  of scrap card which I used as a stencil then I laid it over the white piece and sponged over the edge of it  right round the edge repositioning it to do the other two sides with BAja Breeze. Then I moved on to covering the rest of the pieces in a wonky grid kind of design with Baja Breeze  then Certainly Celery. Leave some white showing though.

The film strip is really easy to make using the SU spiral punch. Punch along one side a strip of black cardstock then flip it over and start at the same end as you did on the other side so your holes line up and punch down that side too. I used a 1 1/2″ strip and teh wee squares are 3/4″ but you can do it bigger this was just a good size to put on my ATC.
